Are you looking for a fun activity in Glacier National Park? There are many great options. You could raft the rapids of the Middle Fork, go on a horseback ride through an old-growth forest near Lake McDonald, hike the scenic trails of the McDonald Valley, or take a sun tour through Glacier.

Besides interpretive a walking and hiking tour provided by the National Park Service, there are two main guided tour operators through Glacier: the Red Bus Tours operated by Xanterra and the Sun Tours operated by local Blackfeet and Assiniboine Sioux Tribal Members.

The Native American Cultural Tours provided by Sun Tours offer guests an interpretive tour by lifetime residents of the Blackfeet Indian Reservation. The guides are knowledgeable about tribal history, culture, animals, plants, Blackfoot spirituality, and more.

On the west side, tours depart from the Apgar Visitor Center, which is only a 15-minute scenic drive from Mountain Meadow RV Park in Hungry Horse. Enjoy the comfy, air-conditioned ride on a Sun Tour through the Crown of the Continent, then relax the night away in one of our cozy cabins near West Glacier.
